Hi, I’m Anna.

Here’s why I’m Running.

Ten years ago, I abruptly became the single parent of a special needs child. As I rebuilt our lives after escaping a domestic violence marriage, I personally experienced the difficulties of navigating life when safety and security are not absolute. I struggled to access community resources, meet the complexity of my child’s needs, and understand state law and our rights, all while being legally unhoused. I was fortunate to have a well-developed love of policy and code to help me navigate and restabilize our lives. But that experience led me to understand how critical accessible community resources are - built for a variety of situations, not a monolithic experience. Not everyone’s story is the same, but I believe that everyone is united in our desire to help members of our community.

Since then, I met and married my husband, an active-duty Air Force officer, built a successful career in the arts, became a community activist, and joined my City Planning Commission. Because of the opportunities and experiences I‘ve had, I am committed to ensuring that everyone has the chance to access those same opportunities. We need leaders who work to improve everyday concerns, who will support families and small businesses, protect our futures, and who will put our overlooked community first. I run to serve District 12 in the Utah House of Representatives with those values.
I hope you’ll support my campaign and join me in building bridges (ADA friendly and open to all) to carry impacted voices into the spaces where decisions are made.
